(I take notes as I play the game for things that I think deserve a mention. If something was not mentioned, it is considered "fine" and not noteworthy in any sense.)
A Plague Tale: Innocence
Seeing how the industry has managed escort missions in the last decade in story heavy games, I got into the game thinking it would be more of a side-charachter that would handle it self rather than classic chore of a escort mission.
Pros
- Environments
It's a good looking game and u feel like you can get into the environment.
Neutral
- Tank controls
It technically doesn't have tank controls but it feels tanky in terms of how both the charachter and camera moves and feels sluggish at times.
Cons
- No colorblind mode
Usually I don't have a issue with color blindness but I had a really hard time seeing any blood trails and the game had no solution for it. - Whole game is a escort mission
There's good and there's bad escort mission games. This is sadly one of the bad ones from the older era of gaming. It's a chore, annoying and causing you to fail, and part of stealth missions. - Invisible walls
I rarely encounter this as a issue in games but this one caused weird issues with invisible walls. - Munk's hair
It looks like such a joke compared to the bald guys. - No map
This game have no maps, yet it tries to be more open areas/zones.
Final thoughts
I gave up around chapther 5-6 when the game became too boring and annoying to play because I did not want to do more of an escort mission.
